Obituaries – Their Stories Live On

Ms. Dianna Patricia Ovalle, 29, of Mt. Hope, passed tragically on Wednesday, August 8, 2018, just minutes from her home, when she was struck by another vehicle resulting in a fatal head-on collision, a month from her 30th birthday.

Born September 9, 1988, in Beckley, WV, she was the daughter of Demetrice Johnson and Patricia Ovalle of Mt. Hope, WV.

Dianna was a Certified Nursing Assistant working in the Health Care Field to fulfill her love of helping others. She was consistently working on improving herself and furthering her education to create more opportunities for her and her daughters. Weeks before passing, she was in the process of looking for a home to purchase so she could provide her girls with a big yard to play outside.

Dianna was a member of Outreach for Christ Christian Center, Beckley. Dianna was preceded in death by her uncles, Juan Rodriquez and Julian Leonard.

Dianna, known for her beautiful smile and infectious laugh, was genuinely one of the most magnanimous and kind-hearted individuals that one could ever encounter. She was the type of person that would do anything for anyone and give her last to help someone out. An extremely hard-worker and always striving to do and be more, her daughters were her world and she worked tirelessly to give them the best life she could and ensure they had the most memorable childhood full of love and experiences. Dianna was the type of person who showed up and wouldn't give up no matter what. She is truly missed. Her impact is massive.

In addition to her parents, left to cherish precious memories are her daughters, Amani Jiles, 7, Liliana Jiles, 6 and Gabriela Ovalle, 2, all of Mt. Hope; sister, Bionca (Jeremy) Faoro of Frederick, MD; nephew, Christiano Faoro; grandparents, Chester and Maria Leonard; uncles Frederico (Morena) Ovalle, Miguel (Marsha) Ovalle, Stephen (Daniela) Leonard; aunts, Kathlina Maira (Hassan) Khaaliq, Rosa Melisa Leonard, (Fiance Christopher Barnes) and a host of cousins, great-aunts, great-uncles and countless friends.

Funeral service will be 12:00PM Monday, August 20, 2018 at Outreach for Christ Christian Center, 416 G St., Beckley with Rev. Harold Hairston and Rev. Thomas Steelman officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park, Beckley.

Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church.
