Obituary For Ms. Hazel Cornelia Redd
Ms. Hazell Cornelia Redd, 87, of Beckley, died Sunday, April 15, 2018.
Born May 8, 1930 in East Gulf, WV, she was the daughter of the late Rev. John and Deaconess Bettie Hubbard Redd.
She was a member of St. Paul Baptist Temple, Beckley and was employed by Raleigh General Hospital in the housekeeping department.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sons, Charles, Richard, and James Redd; brothers, Charles and James Redd and sisters, Nancy Beasley and Della Mae Redd.
Left to cherish precious memories are her daughters, Evangelist Mitzi Stork of Cleveland, OH, Deaconess Delena Redd of Beckley, Hazel (Clarence) West of Madison Height, VA and Charlotte Redd of Lynchburg, VA; brother, John Edward (Flora) Redd of Detroit, MI; sister, Deaconess Mary Redd of New York, NY; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; special cousins, friends at Harper Mills D Wing and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be 1:00PM Friday, April 20, 2018 at St. Paul Baptist Temple, 129 Rice St., Beckley, with Rev. Walter M. Leach officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Prosperity.
Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church.
