OAK HILL ù Ms. Janet Marie Smith, 63, of Oak Hill, went home to be with The Lord on Thursday, May 28, 2015.

She was born on Dec. 15, 1951 in Eagle, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late John "Jack" and late Ollie Mayfield Smith.

Ms. Smith worked as Assistant Manager and was a member of Morning Star Baptist Church.

Left to cherish precious memories are her fianc?' Terry Ferrell Sr. of Oak Hill, WV; her son Juan (Dawn) Smith of Columbus, Ohio; step-son Nathan Hawkins of Ocala, Fla.; granddaughters, Kyra Schoolcraft of Cannelton, W.Va. and Chantel Smith of Charleston, W.Va.; grandson, Jaden Smith of Columbus, Ohio; sisters: Constance Ann Toney, of Beckley, Pandora (AL) Peoples of Columbus, Ohio, Donna (Gary) Smith of Dunbar, W.Va., Mary Smith of Charleston, W.Va., Maxine Coats of Kimberly and Pamela Smith of Deepwater, W.Va.; brothers: John L. Smith of Handley, W.Va., James (Sandra) Smith of Montgomery, W.Va., Charles Smith of Deepwater W.Va., Samuel (Chris) Smith, of Powellton, W.Va. and Calvin and Melvin Smith, both of Beckley; children of Terry Ferrell Sr.; son: Terry (Alex) Ferrell Jr.; daughters, Tamiko Ferrell of Charlotte, N.C. and Tryphene Hall of Spartanburg, S.C. and host of special nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends.

Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Friday, June 5, 2015 at Spirit And Truth Ministries, 100 West Main St., Oak Hill, W.Va., with Rev. William Issac Kinney and Bishop Sam Robert Calloway Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Meadow Haven Memorial Park, Ingram Branch, W.Va. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church.
