Obituary For Ms. Jewell Inez Bradley

Ms. Jewell Inez Bradley, 61, of Beckley, WV passed Sunday, May 3, 2026 at CAMC Memorial Division, Charleston after a short illness.

Jewell was born January 18, 1965 on a very cold and snowy day with temperatures well below freezing in Beckley, WV, Jewell was the second child of Tilford Joe and Dora Lee Neal Bradley Sr.

Jewell went to school in Raleigh County, Beckley, WV. She played volleyball at Central Elementary and in the band at Beckley Junior High. Momma told her she could not be in the band because of her grades, but near the end of school she came up walking through East Park with a Tuba! After many questions she informed Momma that she was in the band at Beckley Junior High. Go Eaglets Blue and Orange!! She continued in her education to high school, where she became a member of the Woodrow Wilson High School Band - Go Eagles Maroon and White! She carried the flag, played volleyball, and played softball in the summer. Jewell graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in 1983 where she was loved by her classmates and friends. In her higher education, she graduated from Beckley Beauty School. Jewell styled and managed a lot of hair and it always looked excellent. She held other jobs giving her experience in restaurants, hotels, Brinks and Beckley Housing, until she became disabled and had to give up working. She held residency in Salem, VA, Roanoke, VA and Fayetteville, NC, where she helped take care of Tima (MeMa).

Jewell moved back to Beckley, where she lived out the rest of her life. When Dad and Mama became sick, she took care of both. No matter how things were, she was always there. As time went on her health declined. At one time her back was broken, but Jewel refused to give up. She held on until God told her it was time to go.

Jewell loved her family and her family loved her.

Jewell, in addition to her parents, was preceded in death by her baby sister, Tiffany; maternal grandparents, Ernest and Thelma Neal; paternal grandparents, Pete and Margie Bradley; great-grandmothers, Lettie Mitchell and Dora Snyder; aunts, Izetta, Jeanette, Mae and Geraldine; uncles, Ernest Jr., Ronnie “Blue Man”, Sol and Thomas Ray; cousins, Tony, Herbert, Sweet Pea, Donald Ray, Missy, Michael and Jarrod.

Jewell leaves to cherish precious memories her sister, Mergie Bradley of Beckley, WV; brother, Tilford Bradley Jr. “Joe Joe” of Beckley, WV; nieces, Marvina, Tima, A`Nayla “Nay Bug”, soon to meet niece, Tay’Leana, that she was waiting on; nephews, AJ, Rasean, Edward and Nick; aunts, Sandra Wallace, Linda (Tyrone) Anderson, Dedria Bradley and Elenora “Tootsie” Neal; uncles, Roosevelt (Earline) Neal, Henry (Ann) Bradley, Robert (Sharon) Bradley; cousins, Rita, Lamarr, Pam, Katrina, Stephon, Dawn, Tyrone, Chris, Sharda, J.T, Kennett, Jamal, DeeDee, Ebony, Kathy, Annette, Tiziana, Chatty, Robert Jr., Bobbie, Kim and Ronnie and so many other relatives, friends and classmates that loved her.

Family directed memorial service will be 1:00PM Saturday, May 16, 2026 at Welcome Baptist Church 206 Eighth St. Beckley.

Friends may visit with the family one-hour prior.
