Obituary For Ms. Julianna Maria Walton Sweatte

Ms. Julianna Maria Walton Sweatte, 62, of Beckley, WV formerly of Harrisburg, PA passed Friday, October 18, 2024.

Born July 8,1962 in Beckley WV, she was the daughter of Gloria Anna Gilliam Walton and the late Roy Lee Walton Sr.

She was an entrepreneur and private family caregiver.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gary F. Sweatte; brothers, Roy Lee Jr., James A Walton Sr. and Jason D. Walton; sister, Alice “Missy” Walton Nelson; brothers-in-law, Melton “Tink” Crummel, William Carson, and Randy Sweatte; sister-in-law, Sherri Sweatte; nephew, Brandon Walton and father-in-law, Bishop John Grant

Left to cherish precious memories are her daughters, Julianna Cook of Beckley, WV and Brittanee Thomas of Tampa, Fl; granddaughter, Atiyyaat Belcher and grandson, Lando Acord, both of Beckley WV; brothers, Nathaniel S. (Tammy) Walton of Glen Burnie, MD, Robert L. (Janet) Walton Sr. of Beckley WV, Paul A. (Mary) Walton of Greenboro, NC and Michael J. (Nikki) Walton of Creedmore NC; sisters, Verblena “Lena” Walton Crummel of Harrisburg PA, Veronica L. Walton, Gloria Thompson, Diana M. Walton and Lisa D. Walton, all of Beckley WV and Daisy M. Walton of Columbus OH; uncles and aunt, Kenneth and Sheila Walton of Philadelphia, PA; Raymond Gilliam of PA; brothers-in-law, Robert Nelson of Oak Hill WV and Kevin Sweatte of NC; sisters-in-law, Linda Walton of Fairmont, WV, Debbie Walton and Cynthia Sweatte, all of Beckley, WV

Funeral service will be 1:00PM Sunday, October 27, 2024 at Central Baptist Church 197 Brooks St. Beckley with Rev. Franklin Hairston officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Park, Beckley.

Friends, while wearing masks and observing social distancing, may visit with the family one-hour prior to the service.

A little over two months ago I spoke about a feeling that I had not felt in almost forty years and now I get this feeling again with passing of another one my sisters and it truly breaks my heart that Mrs Walton has to go through this again so I pray with you and the family that the LOVE of GOD in the name of JESUS is with you as we go through this time of morning, may my sister(Judy) rest in peace.
