Obituaries – Their Stories Live On

Leyanda Taylor, 21, of Beckley, WV, died Friday, February 13, 2015.

Born January 21, 1994, in Beckley, WV, she was the daughter of Cleopatra Taylor-Spencer of Beckley and the late Terry Lee Campbell.

A graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School, she attended Valley College and was employed part-time by H&R Block as a Customer Service Assistant.

Leyanda was baptized at the age of nine, at the McArthur Family Worship Center Church of God by Pastor Mark Schrade.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Theodore and Mary Campbell, and her maternal grandparents, Alfred and Vestine Taylor.

Left to cherish precious memories are her son, Gabriel James of Beckley; brother, Terry Taylor of Beckley; four sisters, Summer Forte and Naomi Autumn, both of Michigan, Makayla and Keara Jones, both of California; uncles, Ronald (Shirley) Taylor of Oklahoma, Roy Campbell of Lanark, WV, and Ronnie (Angie) Campbell of Georgia; aunt, Becky Campbell of New Jersey; friend, George Duarte; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be 4 p.m. Sunday, February 22, 2015, at Faith Community Church (Raleigh County Convention Center), 200 Armory Drive, Beckley, WV, with Pastor Jason Lowe and Pastor Sam Peterson officiating.

Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church.
