Obituary For Ms. Marilyn M. "Maw Maw" Hall

Ms. Marilyn M. “Maw Maw” Hall, 68, of Beckley, died Tuesday, May 6, 2025 peacefully at home.

Marilyn was born Saturday, October 20, 1956 in Tams, WV, she was the daughter of Everlene Hall of Beckley and the late Milton Ross.

Marilyn, known as “Maw Maw”, she was a registered nurse and also a nursing payroll clerk.

Marilyn, in addition to her father, was preceded in death by her daughter, Crystal Francis Marie Swain.

Marilyn, in addition to her mother, leaves to cherish precious memories her sons, Shawn Swain, Richard Franklin “Pee Wee” (Schenille) Swain and Hosea Jose Oresta “Hoodini” (Lavetta) Swain; brothers, Michael Hall, Ulysses “Eddie” Stockton Jr., and Deacon Victor George (Marilyn) Stockton; sisters, Sandra (Michael, deceased) Pemberton and Twanna Stockton; 14 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be 1:00PM Friday, May 16, 2025 at Welcome Baptist Church 206 Eighth St. Beckley. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Park, Beckley.

Friends, while wearing masks and observing social distancing, may visit with the family one-hour prior.
