Obituaries – Their Stories Live On

Maurine ôLadyö Austin, 71, of Germantown, MD, formerly of Beckley, died Wednesday, September 21, 2016.

Born June 27, 1945 in Fireco, WV, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Viola Carter Austin.

Maurine worked for Montgomery County Schools and was a member of St. Paul Baptist Temple, Beckley.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five sisters and two brothers.

Those left to cherish precious memories are her sons, Soladine (Renee) Turner and Michael Austin, both of Gaithersburg, MD and Raynoma Austin of Germantown, MD; daughters, Dawn (Anthony) Cousins and Donna Turner, both of Germantown, MD; brothers, Kenneth L. Austin of Laurel, MD, Edward Austin, Jr. of Stretta, IL, Orlando G. Austin of Richmond, VA, Michael D. Austin of Charleston, WV, Danny L. Austin of Gaithersburg, MD and Marian Austin and Frederick L. Austin, both of Beckley, WV; sisters, Lenora Austin of Fort Smith, AZ, Annette Austin and Brenda J. Austin of Beckley, WV, Barbara A. Portis of Dayton, OH, Lucille Berry of Lorain, OH; grandchildren, Antonishia Cousins, Joseph Jerry, Daniel Jerry, Jimique Cousins and Norman Nelson; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be 12 noon, Saturday, October 1, 2016 at St. Paul Baptist Temple, 129 Rice St., Beckley with Rev. Walter Leach officiating.

Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church.
