Obituary For Ms. Patricia Ann Claytor Cosby

Mrs. Patricia Ann Claytor Cosby was born November 3, 1946.

She was the daughter of the late James R. Claytor and Velma C. Freeman.

Patricia resided in Roanoke VA, but was a native of Beckley WV. She was called home from labor to reward on Friday, March 11, 2022.

Patricia was a graduate of Stratton High School, Beckley and worked at Household Finance and Loan Company, Montgomery Ward, JC Penney’s and Beckley Newspaper.

Patricia will always be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She was famous for her macaroni and cheese and home cooking and loved to play bingo with her buddies.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death her brother, Terry Jackson; sister, Racheeta Claytor and nephews, Damon Rogers and Frederick Munnerlyn.

Survivors include two children, Kevin Cosby and Angela (Dwayne) Cosby, both of Roanoke, VA; brothers and sisters, Robert Carter of Cleveland, OH, Gregory Deberry of Roanoke VA, Linda Finklea of Bloomington, IL, Gloria Rogers of Lansing MI, Jackie Deberry of Roanoke VA, Dr. Toni Deberry of Beckley WV, Tracy Claytor of Bedford, OH, Sherrill Cooke of Columbus, OH, Vonnie Saunders of Roanoke VA, and Hattie Lewis of Chesapeake, VA and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be 12:00PM Monday, March 21 2022 at Heart of God Ministries 1703 S. Kanawha St. Beckley with Rev. Walter M. Leach officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Prosperity.

Friends, while wearing mask and observing social distancing, may view and visit with the family one hour prior to the service at the church.

    I would like to send my deepest sympathy and condolences to Pat,s family. I didn't know her family , but I was a paper carrier for several years. Pat was always so kind and helpful to me.
