Obituary For Ms. Rasheen L. Wallington

Ms. Rasheen Lanyse Wallington was born December 17, 1989 and passed away on Tuesday, December 7, 2021.

Rasheen was the daughter of Philip Thompson and Audrey Thomas.

Rasheen was a graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School and went on to attend West Virginia State and the Art Institute of Charlotte, NC. Rasheen worked for ResCare and Identi-Go. She used her customer service skills to start her very own travel agency, “Let’s Get Away Vacations”.

Rasheen was very loyal, kind and trustworthy. She had a smile that would illuminate a room and a laugh that would bring joy to others around her.

Rasheen was preceded in death by her father, Philip Thompson; aunts, Evelyn “El” Jordan and Carrie Thompson; uncles, Stephen Jordan and Gruen Thompson; paternal grandparents, Madeline Thompson and Elgin “Buck” Thompson; maternal grandfathers, Richard Wallington and Denard Coles and great-grandmothers, Mary Mills and Annie Thomas. Rasheen leaves to cherish her memories her sons, Jaiden Wallington and Jaysean Gambill, companion, Jarrod Gambill and bonus son, Christian Gambill; mother, Audrey Thomas; father, Rodney Thomas; sisters, Ranesha Wallington, Kyra Thompson and Kylie Thompson, all of Beckley; brothers, Philip Grant and Stephen Thompson, both of Beckley; aunts and uncles, Marquita Jordan, Lowell Thompson, Nathaniel (Doreen) Thompson, Stephen (Sandra) Thompson, Eileen (Clifford) Washington, Marquita Clay, Rick Wallington, Letitia Fortson, Pastor Kiko Wallington, and Nolita Whitehead, all from Beckley, Kent (Tiffany) Jordan of Wisconsin, Lillian (Edward) Christian of Anniston, Alabama, Levelle Teddler of Maryland, Deneita Coles, Christopher (Tawanda) Teddler and Derek Coles, all of Richmond, VA; grandmothers, Carol Coles, Mary Jordan; grandfather, David Reynolds; special godmother, Theresa Manns and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and special friends.

Funeral service will be 1:00PM Thursday, December 23, 2021 at Heart of God Ministries 1703 S. Kanawha St. Beckley with Bishop Fred T. Simms officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Park, Beckley.

Friends, while wearing masks and observing social distancing, may view and visit with the family one hour prior to the funeral service at the church.

    My heart aches due to the loss of my dear niece. She died so young. My prayers and condolences go to Phil and Steven. I know they will miss their sister. Rest In Peace for now. You are in Gods memory waiting for the resurrection. John 5:28,29.
