Obituaries – Their Stories Live On

Ms. Rhoda Ann Ross, 80, of Charlotte, NC, formerly of Glen Jean, WV died Sunday, January 24, 2021 in Atrium Health, Pineville, NC.

Ms. Ann was born December 9, 1941 in Glen Jean, WV, she was the daughter of the late James Hayes and Catherine Ross.

Ms. Ann was a caretaker and member of the First Baptist Church of Glen Jean.

Ms. Ann, in addition to her parents, was preceded in death by her siblings, Richard “Sunny” Barns, Samuel “Sam” Ross, Keith “Kenny” Ross, Emery Ross, Robert “Chicken” Ross, Clydail “Tiny” Muse, Ramona Monie Barns, Lorretta Dillard, James Ross Jr. and Lois Loving.

Ms. Ann leaves to cherish precious memories her children, Delmar Ross of Oak Hill, Alfred Perry of Houston, TX, Kimberly Pittman of Beckley and Monica Perry of Charlotte, NC; eight grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be 1:00PM Friday, February 5, 2021 at the First Baptist Church of Glen Jean 469 Collins Hilll Road with Rev. Eugene Nabors officiating. Burial will follow in Hilltop Cemetery, Hilltop.

Friends, while wearing gloves, masks and practicing social distancing, may visit with the family one hour prior.
