Obituary For Ms Ruby Mae Jefferson

Ms. Ruby Mae Jefferson, 96, of Fayetteville, died Sunday, October 13, 2019. Born January 22, 1923 in Birmingham, AL, she was the daughter of the late John and Marie (Martin) Jefferson. Ms. Jefferson was a member of First Baptist Church, Harlem Heights; retired from Harper Hospital, Detroit, and worked on aircrafts used in WWII at United Automobile Aircraft & Agricultural Implement Workers of America in Detroit, MI. Ms. Jefferson was preceded in death by her parents, John and Marie Jefferson; brother, James Jefferson and Alfonso Jefferson; sisters, Edna Casey Wilma Thompson and Doris Steed and grandson. Curtis Jefferson. Ms. Jefferson leaves to cherish precious memories her son, George Jefferson of Fayetteville; sisters, Thelma McCluney of Charlotte, NC, Annie Jefferson of Fayetteville, WV, Imogene Jefferson-Dingle (Edmond Dingle of Monckscorner, SC, Glenda Talmone (Gary Talmone); grandchildren, Elicia Jefferson of Hampton, VA, John Jefferson of Fayetteville, Shawntez Patterson of Detroit, MI and Jasmane Jefferson of Detroit, MI; great-grandchildren, Marley Jefferson of Fayetteville, Chennelle Thompson of Hampton, VA, Phillip Cox of Beckley, Chaniece Cox of Atlanta, GA, Stephen T. Cox of Morgantown, WV, Miah A. Cox of Hampton, VA, Shauntez Patterson, and Angel Patterson; brother-in-law, Edmond Dingle and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral service will be 12:00PM Saturday, October 19, 2019 at First Baptist Church of Harlem Heights, 416 Broadway Ave., Oak Hill, with Rev. Paul Baker and Rev. Charles Blackmon officiating. Burial will follow in Meadow Haven Memorial Park, Ingram Branch. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church.
