Obituaries – Their Stories Live On

Sheena Dawn Jones, 27, of Beckley, formerly of Mt. Hope, died Friday, November 11, 2016.

Born January 27, 1989 in Charleston, WV, she was the daughter of Misty Jones of Beckley, and Micheal (Tamika) Nicholes of NC.

She worked for ResCare of Beckley, attended Mt. Hope High School, loved basketball and was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Vernon Jones and Sandy Wells; sister, Carrie K. Jones; stepdad, Darnell Evans; uncle, Sean Lowe; and cousin, Dwayne Gore.

In addition to her parents, those left to cherish precious memories are her daughters, Zanique and Zemia Tabb of Beckley; brothers, Thabiti and Thaddeus Jones of Beckley, Micheal, Jaque, Nathaniel Nicholes, all of Charlotte, NC; DeSean and Emmitt Jones of Mt. Hope; grandmothers, Rita Walton Jones and Mary Wells of Mt. Hope and Mary Nicholes of Beckley; special aunts, Michell Jones, Snisia Jones, Dr. Robin Chianumba and Donna Sagin; special niece, Janyla Nicholes; special cousin, Renee (Brian) Hayes; very special best friends, Ashton and Kanesha Moore, Patricia Grant and Cherelle Spencer and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at Mt Zion Baptist Church, 142 Mool Ave, Beckley, with Rev. Nelson Staples III officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Park, Beckley.

Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church.
