Obituary For Ms. Tamika Nicole “Nikki” Witten

Ms. Tamika Nicole “Nikki” Witten, 47, of Beckley, WV passed away on Thursday, April 17, 2025 surrounded by loved ones.

Nikki, as she was affectionately known, was born October 23, 1977 at Appalachian Hospital, Beckley, WV to Belva Jones and Carl Witten.

Nikki was a member of New Hope Baptist Church and dedicated many years to her career as a front desk clerk at Quality Inn of Beckley.

Nikki loved spending time with her family and doing her nails in very creative ways. Nikki’s sense of humor brought joy and laughter to her family and friends, her memory will be cherished forever.

Nikki leaves behind her mother, Belva Jones; very special father, Thomas Jones; as well as her loving son, Omari Murphy; siblings, Craig Ray, Shawn Smith, Carl Witten Jr., Andre Witten, Tamika Baker, Nara Ray, Janet Witten, and Alexis Witten; numerous aunts; uncles; nieces; nephews; cousins; great-nieces; great- nephews; honorary sister/cousin Barbie Hall; best friend, Ivory Shepard, and a special friend, Juanita Ross, who provided unwavering love and friendship.

Nikki’s legacy of love and laughter will be remembered fondly by all who knew her.

Funeral service will be 12:00PM Saturday, April 26, 2025 at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church 304 Worley Road, Beckley. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Prosperity.

Friends, while wearing masks and observing social distancing, may visit with the family one-hour prior.
