Obituaries – Their Stories Live On

Ms. Zelma Berry, 85, of Beckley, died Wednesday, September 2, 2020. Born April 1, 1935 in Amigo, WV, she was the daughter of the late Phillip and Matty Westbrook Berry Sr. Ms. Zelma was a homemaker, member of Free and Independent Holiness Church and was the caregiver of her parents until their passing. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her thirteen brothers and sisters. Those left to cherish precious memories are her sister, Johnetta Hill of White Sulphur Springs; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral service will be 12:00PM Thursday, September 10, 2020 at the Ritchie & Johnson Funeral Parlor Chapel 748 S. Fayette St Beckley with Elder David Robinson, Bishop Earnest Stewart Sr. and Pastor Nina Moore officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Prosperity. Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, gloves, masks and social distancing will be required to attend the service. Attendance is limited to twenty-five.
