Laverne and I were childhood friends. She was genuinely easy to like. Years and geography separated us but she remained close in my heart. I never returned to any part of Southern West Virginia without trying to contact her. "Blessed by the tie that binds our hearts in love, the fellowship of kindred minds is like that that above." Rev. Perry Lee Radford.
