Obituary For Pastor Alfred Taylor

Pastor Alfred Taylor, 72, of Harper Heights, died Monday, July 22, 2019.

Born April 9, 1947 in Beckley, he was the son of the late Alfred and Hattie Howard Taylor.

He was the Pastor of Church of God MPGT, Harper Heights, WV.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sons, Tyrone Heath and Les Taylor; brothers: Oscar Hudson, Edward Phillips, Norman Phillips, Elzie Howard and Roosevelt Howard Sr.

Those left to cherish precious memories are his wife, Billie; daughters, Tonya Taylor and Ann (Andre) Thomas, both of Beckley and Vera (Antonio) Gause of Columbus, OH; sisters, Ann Blakeney of Pomona, CA and Billie Ruth Chandler of Lawton, OK; special brother, Marvin Smoot and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be 12:00PM Monday July 29, 2019 at Heart of God Ministries 1703 S. Kanawha St. Beckley. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Park, Beckley.

Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church.

    To the Taylor family I offer my sincere condolences in the loss of our dear brother , friend . I have known Pastor Taylor all of my life and I loved his spirit and the love he had for people.... A true man of God.... Im very sorry I cant be with you today but you are in my heart and always will be... My prayers of comfort are with you Mrs. Taylor , Tonya and Ann....     My Brother my Friend, a true confidant. We shared many talks, and prayed many prayers over the years. We looked forward to greeting one another no matter the occasion, always finding something to laugh and smile about. Our prayers are with you Sister Billie and Family.     Cousin you finished your race. Although we were not blood related we called each other cousin. He and his wife Billie always had a hug and a smile when we saw each other in our national meetings.. He will be missed. Marion Wells(cousin) Lorain Ohio
