Pastor Emeritus Tanner Schofield-Cole was born May 7, 1924, in Prince Edward County, VA, to the late William and Evie Walker. She transitioned to Heaven Saturday, March 17, 2018, following a long illness.

Pastor Emeritus Tanner Schofield-Cole obtained her Doctorate in Theology from the United Bible College of Orlando, FL.

In her earlier years she conducted numerous revivals across the USA, resulting in hundreds of souls being saved. She later pastored Greater Bethel Pentecostal Church, Mullens, WV; United Apostolic Faith Church, Beckley, WV and Mt. Calvary Tabernacle of Praise, Pontiac, MI.

Pastor Emeritus Tanner Schofield-Cole leaves behind six children; Willie (Rosemary) Schofield of Hurricane, WV, Richard (Rometta) Schofield of Detroit, MI, David Schofield of Charleston, WV, Paul (Diane) Schofield and Timothy (Lolita) Schofield, both of Beckley, WV and Naomi Ruth Patterson of Columbus, Ohio; 31 grandchildren, 54 great-grandchildren; 17 great-great-grandchildren, anticipating more this year; six step-children, Phillip Cole Jr., Barbara Dewberry, Mary Maven, Vivian Mullins, Nora (James) Kelly and Katrina Cole, all of Detroit, MI, together they share 16 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Lillie Walker Steadwell of Norwich, CT and Mollie Walker McKenzie of Roseville, MI; one brother, Murray Delano Walker of Detroit, MI and a host of nieces; nephews; her church family, Burning Bush Apostolic Ministries of Waterford, MI and many friends throughout the world.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two husbands, Willie Schofield and Phillip Cole; one son, Edward (Rhona) Schofield; one daughter, Wilma (Kenneth) Starkey; one step-daughter, Norma (Ann) Spencer; two sisters, Christine Berger and Mable Robertson and three brothers, Sherman, William & Daniel Walker.

Homegoing service will be 12Noon Friday, March 30, 2018 at the United Apostolic Faith Church, 1010 S. Kanawha St, Beckley with Suff. Bishop Willie Schofield and Dist. Elder Timothy Schofield officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Prosperity. Friends may call from 10:00AM until the time of the service at the church.
