Obituary For Rev. Albert Leon Simms

Rev. Albert Leon Simms, 84, of Harlem Heights (Oak Hill) died Wednesday, October 21, 2015.

Born January 21, 1931 in Claremont WV, he was the son of the late Robert T. and Carrie B. Early Simms.

Rev. Simms was a pastor and member of First Baptist Church, of Harlem Heights.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Fred Lee Sr. and George Wheeler Simms; sisters, Alicestine Irene Simms, Enci Violet Simms, Evelyn R. Simms Durnell and Nina M. Simms Brown.

Those left to cherish precious memories are his brother, Nathaniel R. Simms of Brooklyn, NY; sister, Roberta Simms Jackson of Philadelphia, PA and a host of nieces and nephews, including his ôspecial devotedö nephew, Bishop Fred T. Simms of Beckley, WV.

Funeral service will be 2:00PM, Sunday, October 25, 2015 at Heart of God Ministries, 1703 South Kanawha St., Beckley, WV with Rev. Dr. Warner Durnell and Bishop Fred T. Simms. Burial will follow in Meadow Haven Memorial Park, Ingram Branch, WV. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church.
