Obituaries – Their Stories Live On

Rev. Constance G. Tucker Allen, 84, of Lester died Tuesday, August 21, 2018.

Born April 25, 1934 in Lester, WV, she was the daughter of the late James and Luella Pogue Tucker.

She attended Stratton High School, was employed by United Bank as an Assistant Supervisor in Bookkeeping and was a member of St. Matthew A.M.E. Church, Lester.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Theodore B. Allen Jr. and sister, Jean Tucker.

Those left to cherish precious memories are her sons, Richard "Glenn" Allen, Michael Allen, Mayor Kenneth "Sam" Allen, all of Lester and Ronald (Lisa) Allen of Beckley; daughters, Cynthia Allen of Lester, Evangelist Janet Allen (Gary) Hairston of Beckley; sister, Joyce Tucker of Hillside, NJ; sister-in-law, Edith Allen of McDonough, GA; special cousin, Pastor Delores Hubbard of McDonough, GA; special friend, Rev. Marie Catus of Beckley; twelve grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be 12:00PM Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at St. Matthew A.M.E, Church 103 Mills Ave., Beckley with Revs. Debra Smoot and Marsha Phillips officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Prosperity.

Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church.
